Experience: 

Maria is a board certified Physician Assistant who began her professional career in Women's Health in 2015. She acquired an interest in dermatology through working with women's skin issues posed by hormones, puberty, and menopause, and joined the Fine Skin Dermatology team in 2017. She has training and experience in clinical and surgical dermatology for various skin disorders. She has special interest in skin cancer surgery.

Cassie Basak is a board certified Physician Assistant who graduated from Dominican University in River Forest, IL with a Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Biomedical Engineering at The University of Iowa. As a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, she is working to complete the SDPA Diplomat Fellowship. Cassie joined Fine Skin in February, 2019. She practices general, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology at the Orland Park and Joliet locations. She is particularly interested in lasers, cosmetic neuromodulators (Botox, Dysport), skin cancer, and acne.

Paulina is a Nationally Board Certified (NCCPA) and Illinois Licensed Physician Assistant, a member of the Illinois Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. She was an inaugural member of Dominican University's Physician Assistant where she received her Masters of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies degree.  

Paulina joined Fine Skin in April 2019 and practices medical, cosmetic, and surgical dermatology. She manages the treatment of various skin, hair, and nail conditions including skin cancers, acne, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, hair loss, varicosities and much more. She also has a strong interest in aesthetic/cosmetic procedures such as Botox, fillers, lasers, Coolsculpting, and facials. She enjoys treating patients of all ages and conditions. Paulina is also bilingual in Polish and looks forward to meeting and becoming a member of your care team in the near future.

Himja has been part of the Fine Skin Dermatology since May, 2019. Her training includes skin cancers, psoriasis, acne, dermatitis, hair loss and other various skin, nail, and hair conditions. With continuing education, Himja has been perfecting her interests for cosmetic dermatology. She provides aesthetic care with Botox, micro needling, plasma rich platelet therapy, chemical peels, lasers, and microdermabrasion. Himja's passion is to improve patients' lives by helping them gain confidence about the way they feel and look. She is eager to provide care for you and your loved ones.

Cindy has been working as an esthetician for five years performing customized facials, skin care treatments and waxing services in a spa setting. She has also taught esthetics for four years working with students in cosmetology school and also teaching continuing education classes. 

The most enjoyable part of her work is meeting and connecting with new people, building relationships with her clients while also helping them achieve healthy, beautiful skin. She is truly focused on giving her clients the ultimate relaxing and rejuvenating experience along with effective skin care treatments. 

She also believes that the esthetics industry offers an on-going learning experience and that we are always studentscontinuing to learn and grow.Since obtaining her licenses she has attended many skincare courses and esthetic educational trainings and continues to do so as often as possible.
